Pool Days

We spent a lot of time at Nonna's pool during the early part of the summer, we really haven't been swimming much these past few weeks because the weather has been so cool.  Hopefully it will warm up enough to go swimming again before summer is over!

During the head wave, I set up the little bathtub on the deck so Simon could enjoy being outside without getting too hot- he liked it!

Binder Park Zoo

Way back on July 1st we took the kids to Binder Park Zoo.  Ethan and Lucia had a great time!  We enjoyed the variety of animals (kangaroos and giraffes- and much more!), as well as the layout of the zoo- it was very natural.  The exhibits were built around existing trees, etc. (at least that what it looked like).

The absolute, most favorite part of the zoo visit was feeding the giraffes- I think it blew Ethan and Lucia's minds!

When we were in the petting zoo area, I kept hearing this "Heeelp!"  screech. I thought it was a kid yelling "help!" over and over.  Turns out- it was a peacock- this one actually!  Very pretty birds with a weird call!
