Happy 1st Birthday Addison!
It took her awhile to get into it, but once she realized the cake was all for her, Addison had a blast!

Today is Father's Day. We went over to Dan and Bonnie's for Addison's first Birthday party and to celebrate with all the dads. Ethan got his Dad a U of M flag to hang up outside. Jim liked it very much. 
Festival
Grand Rapids holds a yearly Art Festival downtown. Locals just refer to it as "Festival". I was told this year that it is the largest festival organized and run by volunteers. It's fun to walk around, people watch, and eat some vendor food. 
It's Soooo Hot!
The first heat wave of the summer hit and Ubu (cat) found himself suffering from heat exhaustion and delirium. Here he is sprawled out on Zero's (dog) rug, he barely has enough energy to smack Zero in the face.

Grandpa and Oma
Dad and Maria stayed with us for about a month. It was great having two extra pairs of hands around the house. As always, Jim and I had a "to do" list of housework/repairs to keep the slackers busy! All jokes aside, they were a very big help and are always welcome to stay!!
Little Amish Baby?
Here Grandpa and Oma thought it would be funny to put Ethan in the little hat that goes along with the Baptism dress- it almost fits . . .
New York Marco
It was nice to see Marco after six months. New York seems to be treating him good. Everyone had to test drive his new (used) Audi- very nice!
After party
After the Baptism we had a little party over at Nonna's house. It was a lovely day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Ethan's Baptism
We celebrated Ethan's Baptism on June 1st. Family was able to come from all over. It was a lovely service. Ethan did very well, aside from filling his diaper with poo 30 seconds before we were supposed to go up. Luckily nothing leaked out (Ethan was wearing the family Baptismal gown that is 35 years old. He is the 12th child in our family to wear it.)He was a very good boy during the service, there he is pictured with Pastor Bill.
I want some . . .
Norah celebrated her 1st Birthday on May 31st. Chiara made her a little cake to eat all by herself. Ethan is looking on trying to grab a bite.

Nice to meet you
Uncle Marco came to town for Ethan's Baptism. Uncle Marco will teach Ethan about the world of high fashion and why some people can pull off wearing three different patterns and others cannot.
